Onset Bay Center Community Day

On May 14, head to Onset Beach for the Onset Bay Center Community Day, set to run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A boatload of free activities are planned. After perusing artwork displayed in the McFadden Center and enjoying refreshments, visitors can join instructors for a trip on a sailboat or borrow a kayak or paddle board to explore the bay.

For kids, Dianne’s Art Farm will lead an art activity, and a story walk will be set up along the beach. Two free workshops are also planned. A kayak safety class will include information about safe self-rescues and the do’s and don’ts of water safety. Another workshop will teach people how to safely secure a kayak to the roof of a car.
