Lower Cape Outreach Council

It’s that time of year again, and the Lower Cape Outreach Council’s elves are working hard to prepare for all our holiday programs. The demand for these programs is growing again this year. To keep up with the increased demand, and to continue to assist our clients year-round, we are launching our annual Gifts of Hope campaign.

This year, we have seen a 50% increase in the average monthly visits to our food pantries, serving over 1000 visits each month. The increase in our pantry visits also means a significant increase in participation in our holiday programs.

Operation Warm, our new coat distribution, will provide new coats to 420 residents. Our Thanksgiving Meal Distribution is expected to serve 600 households, and we anticipate seeing more clients than ever at Santa Stop, our holiday toy distribution. LCOC will also be hosting Santa Stop in a second location this year at the Truro Community Center.

While this is our busiest time of year, Gifts of Hope is also a great way to help us support our clients all year. We are in the business of helping our friends and neighbors whenever their needs arise. To continue to fulfill our mission, we need your help.

Please consider a donation to our Gifts of Hope campaign and be sure to check the Provincetown Independent or our website each week for a new client story.
